Tips & Resources
  1. Drink 8 ounces of water before eating; this tip will make you feel fuller, so you will eat less. Also, consider ordering a broth-based soup or salad (with dressing on the side) as a starter for meals.
  2. Be mindful of what you eat and keep a food journal to write down what you eat. (Yes, even those few chocolates from the reception desk at work count.) This tip will allow you to be aware of the calories consumed and be able to make changes.
  3. Get moving and become more physically active so you can rev up your your heart rate and burn body fat. Consider simple steps such as parking farther away at work or the mall, or taking the stairs.
  4. If possible, go to a gym for your workout time. You are more likely to find an excuse and avoid working out if you try to workout at home.
  5. Use the buddy system. Workout with a friend who will give you motivation, or hire a personal trainer who will hold you accountable.
